Housing just called and told us that our house in Wake Village is no longer available.

The Marine living there was in jump school and broke his leg. That sucks, I hope it heals all right.

They are now offering us a house in Hospital Point. Tell me the good, the bad and the ugly please! 

:( That sucks. Don't know much about housing there, other than it looks like it was built around the same time as the majority of housing in Laurel Bay...At least it's a lot closer to PI than LB is... 

It's UGLY! Sorry, to be blunt about it. It's disgusting as hell. I figured PI would pull something on you. They always promise people homes, and end up letting them down. They're LIARS over there. I'm sorry they did this to you. I would honestly go to Laurel Bay. 

I live in Hospital Point. It's not the most beautiful housing, by any means, but I know a few people out here who have made theirs look really nice, inside and out. It's a short drive to PI, and it's right by the hospital, so those are some pluses. Negatives would be that the houses are very old and need a lot of maintenance, and the palmetto bugs are rediculous. Over all, if you're looking for luxury, I don't recommend it. If you're looking for convenience, go for it. I'm generally pretty satisfied with it. 

We went with the house in Hospital Point. We both really like it. I personally love all the live oak trees. The house is a lot better than what we lived in at Lejeune, so I'm definitely not complaining.

The palmetto bugs are nothing new to me. I grew up in Summerville. LOL
